In our office we offer an array of services from basic diagnostics,
virus/malware removal and cleanup, upgrades, repairs, etc. Unlike
other service departments, at Human Computer there is NEVER
AN HOURLY CHARGE! That's right, no hourly charge for
service. All of our services are performed quickly and
professionally for a flat rate based on the service being performed
and our prices are outlined up front before you agree to any
services. |
Some of our in-shop service include: |
- Virus & malware removal
- Upgrades (RAM, hard drive, video cards, motherboards, software,
etc.)
- Basic and advanced diagnostics

- Laptop repairs (including component repairs & DC power jack

We specialize in laptop hardware repairs including broken DC power
jacks, cracked LCDs, motherboard replacements and data recovery. |
| PLEASE NOTE: If you do not feel comfortable disconnecting your computer and
bringing it into our office for repairs, we offer on-site pickup
and delivery. We will come to your home or office, disconnect
your computer, bring it into our office for service and then
deliver it back to you and reconnect everything when it's

Basic 12-Point PC Maintenance Service |

Includes:
- Cleaning/removing dust & debris from the inside of the PC case.
- Cleaning and checking the PC’s cooling system.
- Scanning for and removing viruses, spyware, adware and browser hijacking programs.
- Removing junk files, temporary files and temporary internet caches.
- Applying Windows updates and security patches
- Checking for proper firewall and antivirus protection.
- Checking the Windows registry for errors.
- Cleaning the laser lens of the CD/DVD drive(s).
- Checking for proper driver installation.
- Optimizing Windows startup files.
- Removing broken shortcuts.
- Basic hardware diagnostic.

- Backup of data in the ‘My Documents’ folder to removable disc (CD/DVD) or second hard drive.
- Complete hardware diagnostics.
- Complete hard drive surface scan (checks for errors on the hard drive)

NOTE: Only detectable viruses/spyware can be removed. This process may remove files which have become infected from your computer. It is recommended that you backup all data prior to using any antivirus or anti-spyware utilities***.

NOTE: To use this service the hard drive or original media must be accessible via Microsoft Windows. This service allows you to recover files which may have been accidentally deleted as well as files on a hard drive with a corrupt file system. Data recovery is not guaranteed and there is a $35 charge if no data can be recovered. This process may take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to complete.

NOTE: This service may make it possible to recovery files from a damaged/defective hard drive which is somewhat operational. Data recovery is not guaranteed and there is a $35 charge if data recovery is not possible. This process may take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to complete.

Data Transfer (Transfer files from one location to another) |

This service includes transferring data files from one PC to another, from one hard drive to another, or from a CD/DVD to a hard drive, etc. without the use of any special data recovery software or additional hardware.

Repair/Replacement of Laptop DC Power Jack |
$85. to $120. |
|
This service involved disassembling the laptop and removing, then replacing the DC power jack on laptops in which the DC power jack is either broken or loose.
|
The charge for this service is the total price including parts, tax and labor.

Notice: Extra charges may apply for services rendered on Apple/Mac products due to additional labor and diagnostic requirements.

On-Site Services
While we are able to take care of most problems in our office, there are occasionally problems which require on-site service, for that reason we offer on-site service in your home or office for a flat rate fee of $85 per hour (with a minimum of $85). On-site service can often be performed the same day without an appointment! Some of our on-site services include:
